Beautiful Vintage Gents 9ct gold Garrard wrist watch from 1964
Presented to JH Nicholson from the Birmingham Cow & Gate Company
after their merger with United Dairies - 40yrs Long Service Award.
Gold arabic numerals.
The lens and signed dial are both in lovely condition, original lance hands, a subseconds dial (always a nice and rare feature) and outer minute markers.
Hallmarks inside the back of the 9ct Gold case for Birmingham 1964, with an ALD case maker's mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company after Aaron Luftkin Dennison (1812-1895). This was one of the last produced at the Birmingham factory before it closed in 1967.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
Watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs.
A new Black leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a Garrard presentation box (full box and papers)
